Why was my photo rejected as "no handwriting detected"?
This usually means the image is too dark, blurry, or the framing cut off too much. Tips: hold the camera flat above a well-lit page, keep the writing within the framing guide, and crop out blank margins before uploading.
Why is my score lower than expected?
Penna grades everyday legibility, not calligraphy. A score of 7–8 means "clear and readable with a few inconsistencies" — that's good! The rubric is designed to be honest, not generous.
How do I cancel my subscription?
iOS: Settings → tap your name → Subscriptions → Penna → Cancel.
Android: Google Play → tap your profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Penna → Cancel.
Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period. Deleting the app does not cancel your subscription.
How do I get a refund?
Refunds are handled by Apple App Store and Google Play. NestIT Ltd cannot issue refunds directly. Use your device's native subscription management to request one.
How do I delete my account and data?
The fastest way is Account → Delete account inside the app — instant deletion. If you can't open the app, use the web deletion form. We process web requests within 30 days.
Is Penna suitable for children?
Penna is designed for users aged 13 and over. We don't support accounts for children under 13. See our Terms of Service for details.
What writing systems does Penna support?
The UI is English-only at launch. The AI analysis works on any Latin-script handwriting. Support for other scripts (Cyrillic, Arabic, CJK) is on the roadmap.
Is AI analysis a substitute for a professional assessment?
No. Penna's feedback is generated automatically by AI and grades everyday legibility only. It is not graphology, occupational therapy, or a professional handwriting assessment. Treat it as a helpful guide, not expert advice.
